we have a very little kitchen...yet a not so little gap in the middle of
it! we were definitely in need of some kind of island to fill the
emptiness and to offer extra counter space. i found this sad little
island/mini bar/who knows at the thrift store. they charged me $19.00
for the gal on wheels and i literal dragged her down a pebbled sidewalk
to get her home. luckily it was only three blocks. i was so excited that
i immediately took the whole thing apart when i got home, sanded it
down, gave it a deep clean and painted almost everything tiffany blue. i
left the top bare to keep that chef's block feel and replaced the knob
with a crackled ivory number from rona. we now have a snazy little
island in our kitchen and it only cost me $25! oh...i also took those
narly wheels off the bottom. this little nugget is going nowhere!
